Join us for conversation about the images and music inspired by the African-American Great Migration.
Using paintings from Jacob Lawrence’s master work, The Great Migration Series, Omopé Carter Daboiku will discuss the far-reaching influences of the greatest internal mass migration in the US. According to Lawrence, “Migration means movement. There was conflict and struggle. But out of the struggle came a kind of power and even beauty.”
